Dramatic black flowers appear in June-July above narrow sword shaped green leaves. This clump-forming, beardless iris, related to the moisture-loving Siberian iris, makes an eyecatching feature in a sunny, boggy area of the garden, or beside water. Height 60cm, spread 40cm. This is the darkest form of chrysographes available.
