Unlike most Sacred bamboos Gulf Stream has a nice compact and bushy habit to 1m high and wide. Orange tinted new leaves are attractive all year round especially in winter. Makes a great informal low hedge. Ideal for urban gardens. Fertile, well drained soil in sun or part shade sheltered from strong winds.
