Mahonia x media Arthur Menzies (3lt)

A stellar cross between oiwakensis and bealei with frond like dark spiny leaves that grow in whorls from coarsely branched stems. A handsome evergreen shrub with a height and spread to 2m in 10 years. Ideal for shade or sun. Any soil. Sprays of yellow flowers appear from mid winter to early spring followed by purple/black, grape like berries with a white bloom in summer/autumn.
