Cotinus Dusky Maiden (5lt)

Bred by Peter Moore this is a cross between C. Szechuanensis and C. Velvet Cloak. The result is a compact growing cotinus that does not get leggy and responds well to pruning. Deep velvet purple leaves turn fiery reds and oranges in autumn. Smokey buff pink flower plumes in summer. Height and spread to around 2m x 1.5m after 10 years but can be kept much smaller by pruning in late winter to early spring. Ideal for pots or borders. Recommended.
