The first variety to have tolerance to Carrot Fly as it is far less attractive to the egg laying varieties. Broad shouldered, stump ended roots with smooth skin and excellent colour. Nantes type for mid-season.
It should be noted that is only carrot Flyway is grown, and if there is carrot fly in the area, they will still attack the variety. To overcome this another variety such as Early Nantes can be grown alongside to act as a 'sacrificial crop'.
