A select form of snake bark maple with green and silver veining on the trunk and large, serrated edged rich green leaves. Leaves turn a lovely butter yellow in autumn and are held to branches with red stained stalks. A striking specimen tree often grown as a multistemmed shrub. Height and spread to around 6m x 5m. Raised in Hillier's Chandlers Ford Nursery, Hampshire by Pete Douwsma in 1961. A cross from Acer davidii ‘George Forrest’ x Acer pensylvanicum ‘Erythrocladum'. Choice.
