Aristotelia chilensis variegata (3lt)

Variegated form of the Marqui wineberry. Forms an unusual semi-evergreen shrub to around 2m x 1m in UK. Requires a very sheltered spot in sun or part shade. Small clusters of creamy green flowers in early summer are followed by edible red to black fruits on female plants. Not unusual for it to be cut to ground level by hard frosts but often comes back from the roots the following season. Rare.
