Musa lasiocarpa (7.5lt)

Golden lotus banana. Huge paddle like glaucous green leaves are the perfect thing for a tropical feel garden. Large rosettes of yellow bracts (similar to a lotus flower) in summer on mature plants. Hardy in most of the UK but wrap stems in fleece for winter and give a generous dry mulch to the roots. Height and spread to around 2m x 1.5m. A sunny sheltered spot is best.
