Loquat. Bold, corrugated and pointed glossy dark green leaves with white undersides. Clusters of scented white flowers in early summer in mild regions are followed by orange-yellow loquat fruits in late summer. A superb architectural tree that is surprisingly drought tolerant once established. Height and spread to around 8m x 5m at maturity although generally much smaller in the UK. Prune to shape in summer.
