Asparagus officinalis Guelph Millenium (1 x Crown)

Bred in Canada and suited to cold climates this is a heavy cropping, reliable variety of Asparagus. Huge succulent green spears with purple tips appear in April, May and June.   Great in a mixed border too, when grown for its tall ferny foliage and bright red berries. Cut down in Autumn and mulch.
