Leymus arenarius Blue Dune (3lt)

Blue Lyme grass. Bluer and more heat tolerant than L. arenarius. Grown for its display of steel-blue foliage, excellent for binding soil on banks. Invasive. Foliage is terrific for flower arranging. Arching tan spikes appear in early summer but these are often removed. Cut the old foliage to the ground in late fall or early spring. Can withstand very dry conditions. Height and spread to around 1m.
