Smaller growing than many others this is a charming upright form of snake bark maple with a height and spread to around 5m x 3m. A fine selection with dynamic white and green striated bark that resembles snakeskin. Dark green foliage turn into a lovely orange colour in the autumn. A cluster of flowers appear in the spring followed by winged fruits that ripen to a red-brown colour. Happy in most well drained soils. Best in part shade. Will grow well in full sun but leaves can scortch in extreme heat. Recommended.
