New to us in 2016 this is a great addition to our Salvia range with almost black flower buds that open to large claret-red flowers held in dark calyces. Like the other wish Salvias, it flowers continuously from early summer until the first frost. It makes a well branched bushy plant to around 80cm x 60cm. Grow in free draining soil in sun or light shade in a sheltered position. May need winter protection.
