Glaucousy green leaves with a very striking white variegation. Can get to 8ft (2.8m) in a single season. Needs fertile well drained soil in sun or part shade. Water and feed copiously during the summer. May need some winter protection. Best to split a bit off the side in late summer, root into a pot and overwinter in the greenhouse. A really showy grass for the back of a border.
