Osmunda regalis Purpurescens (2lt)

An attractive and rare form of THE ROYAL FERN with red stems.  Large fresh green upright fronds are purple tinted in spring. In summer, erect, spore bearing rusty brown flower fronds stand above the green foliage.  Good autumn colour. Height to around 1.5m. Best in a moist lime free soil. Try planting in or near water with Gunnera and Rodgersia or underplanting with Epipactus.
