Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens (1lt)

This plant comes from the convallariaceae (lily of the valley) family, hence its common name lily turf. A very useful ground covering grass with black strap like foliage. In summer it bears small lily-like flowers of white to purple which are followed by blue berries. Any well drained soil in sun or part shade. An excellent foliage plant for winter borders.
