Musa basjoo (3lt)

This is the hardiest variety of banana available that can withstand normal winters if cut down and given a thick mulch in the autumn. Reddish spines to stems. Grows very fast and responds well to food and repotting. To keep the trunks and get plantain  hands of fruit wrap up the trunks in the aurtumn with 4 layers of fleece. Unpruned height upto around 5m.
