Large plumes of pink/purple flowers in midsummer held on sturdy red tinged stems. Height and spread to around 1m x 0.5m. Moist soil in sun or part shade. Glossy chocolate to purple coloured foliage. Grows well with sedge grasses, candelabra primulas and Rodgersias.
