Chelsea award winning variety. A late flowering ornamental onion with decent sized heads of lavender purple flowers from midsummer. Height and spread to 0.5m x 0.3m. Mound forming with roots more like chives than a large bulb. Looks fantastic in mixed borders in sun or in drifts. Grows well in pots too.
