Foxglove tree. Masses of upright panicles of lilac blue funnel shaped flowers with cream insides in May and June. Downy, green heart shaped leaves which become smaller if the tree is allowed to grow or at their biggest and most impressive if the tree is coppiced annually. Fast growing tree with pyramidal habit, height to around 8m. Best in humus rich but well drained soil in sun or light shade.
