Unusual shrubby form of Acanthus from Ethiopia. Spiny, holly like leaves with attractive white veining. Bushy growth to around 1m tall. Red flowers in late summer. Free draining soil in sun. Reputed to be hartdy to -10c but best in a sheltered location. Cut down in spring to encourage fresh new growth. Good for pots too.
