Burr or Mossy cup oak. A north American native that is rarely offered for sale in the UK. Huge lobed leaves colour well in the autumn. Large acorns are held in attractive mossy cups. Slow to grow but eventually making a large specimen tree to around 20m x 12m. A must have for the oak enthusiast.
