Single stripey flowers in shades of pink, salmon, orange, white and yellow with prominent stamens appear on short stems above rosettes of fleshy lanceolate green leaves in spring to early summer. For sharply drained soil in sun best planted at an angle so the rain does not sit in the crown during winter. Height and spread to around 15cm.
