Japanese raisin tree. Rounded heart shaped glossy green leaves, clusters of sweetly scented creamy flowers in early summer. As the flowers fade the stem swells turning red and edible, later followed by black fruits. Grows to a rounded, upright small tree to around 10m x 8m. Beloved by bees and birds. Best in moist free draining soil in sheltered full sun.
