One of the best of teh Benton series bred by the late Sir Cedric Morris. Tall bearded iris with strong purple standards and deep, velvety, inky purple falls with a vibrant paler purple edge. Height to 90cm. Well drained soil in sun. Lift and split the rhizomes every four years or so keeping the fresh growth to the edge of the clump and removing the old, central, unproductive rhizome.
