A graceful, tall sized tree with narrow habit and soft, grey-green needles in bundles of 5. Slow growing reaching a height of around 10-12m in 10 years but eventually up to 25m. Very hardy and easy to grow in fertile, well drained soil. Egg shaped cones to 6cm long on mature specimens with edible seeds.
