Blue false hydrangea. This is a very unusual Chinese woodlander that has large serrated green leaves that form lush mounds and in summer flower spikes hold delightful nodding blue flowers. The flowers consist of one stigma surrounded by hundreds of dusky blue anthers and encased in blue bracts. A lovely addition to any border in humus rich soil in part to full shade. Height and spread to around 60cm.
