    Description

Blue-stem Willow. An upright thicket-forming suckering shrub with narrow mid-green leaves covered with silky grey hairs when young. Young purple shoots become bloomed white blue in winter. Produces small catkins with red anthers that turn pale yellow in spring.  Wonderful as an informal boundary hedge, best of the willows for winter interest. Height up to 3m.
