Dark green, leathery, toothed lanceolate leaves that can be 20cm long. Needs a sheltered spot in well drained soil in sun to light shade or a cool conservatory. May need winter protection if outside in harsh winters. Can survive to -6c. Height and spread to around 2m x 1.5m. A great architectural plant for a tropical feel  in a sheltered garden.
