Europaen white Elm. Selected in 2007 from an avenue of white Elms due to its upright habit and introduced in 2014 as Helena. Shows good resistance to Dutch Elm disease. Also host to the rare UK native White-letter Hairstreak butterfly. The planting of selected Elm hybrids has helped the butterfly to recover in recent years. Tolerant of a wide range of conditions but prefers moist, well drained soils in full sun. Height and spread to around 20m x 10m.
