Hungarian Oak. Vigorous deciduous tree with a broad to rounded crown, slightly more open than English Oak. The trunk is finely grooved greyish-brown with dark green deeply lobed leaves that colours up very well in Autumn, up to 20cm long. Inconspicuous gold catkins are followed by clusters of small acorns. Height and spread of around 20 x 12m+. Good for large gardens, avenues and parklands.
