Japanese Red Pine grows as a low maintenance, drought tolerant evergreen mound with a height and spread in 10 years to around 0.9m x 1.2m and eventually to 1.8m x 3m. Preferring neutral to acid loamy soils in a sunny position. Wind and cold hardy it is a favourite with many garden designers.
