Quercus 'Boscobel Royal'  is grown from material taken from the famous 'Royal Oak' at Boscobel House, Shropshire. The original tree was famous for being the hiding place of King Charles II after defeat at the last battle of the English Civil War in 1651. Majestic, broad headed tree. Height up to 35m with a spread up to 25m.
