Clematis viticella Dark Eyes (2lt)

A vigorous growing clematis that needs to be pruned hard back in spring. Plant on south, west or east facing walls or grow up an obelisk in a border, or in a container or even through a small tree or medium sized shrub. Pinch the growing tips out frequently to encourage flowers right from the base of the plant. Masses of dark velvet purple flowers that open from almost black buds from Late June to September. One of the best of all the viticellas.
