Foxglove tree. Huge downy, green heart shaped leaves at their best if the tree is coppiced annually. Leaves become smaller if the tree is allowed to grow and as it matures it bears masses of lilac foxglove type flowers in May and June. Unpruned height and spread to around 12m x 8m. Best in humus rich but well drained soil in sun or light shade.
