This is the sought after and rare red flowered form of this wonderful shrub. Closely related to Daphnes, this shrub has sweetly scented, reddy orange flowers in clusters, at the end of the branches, in late winter.  Best in well drained soil in a sheltered sunny spot. Height and spread to around 1.5m. The bark is used to make high quality paper hence its common name.
