Fresh new leaves are red at first turning through bright yellow before maturing to a lime green. This new variety makes a superb focal point and is more resistant to scorch than many other shirasawanum varieties. Winged red fruits in summer add to the overall appearance. Best in humus rich soil in part shade. These ones have been grown on 90cm stems and standard trees making them ideal focal points. Good for pots or borders.
