Carya ovata (3lt)
Shagbark Hickory
£35.00
Shagbark Hickory. A slow growing, broad headed tree whose glossy green leafs turn golden yellow in autumn. Can produce edible seeds in autumn when mature. Trunks have flaky slate grey bark as the tree matures. Eventual height and spread 20-25m x 10-15m. Any soil. Very cold hardy. Hard to obtain as all Carya resent being grown in containers as they need to set deep tap roots. A must have for any tree enthusiast with the space.
