Stout, elegant panicles of deep lilac purple flowers in April and May. Frutescens varieties are not as vigorous as floribundas or sinensis but can grow to 5m x 3m. They are also more suited for growing in pots than other varieties. Any fertile soil in sun or light shade. Train in your structural shape then reduce lateral shoots to 3-5buds in August and February to increase flowering potential.
