Compact self fertile tree with a heavy crop of large blue/black damson fruits in September. Flavour is less astringent and slightly milder than other damsons. The flesh is also fairly dry and the stone falls away cleanly from the flesh, which is useful for cooking. Clusters of pearly white flowers in spring. Height and spread to around 3.5m, St. Julien A rootstock. Any reasonable soil in sun or part shade.
