Upright mid green leaves turning reddish brown in late summer form graceful clumps. Shorter than most panicums with a height and spread to around 1m x 60cm. In late summer stems hold panicles of tiny red/brown flowers. A superb choice for late summer interest. Try planting in drifts mixed with late flowering perennials such as Echinacea or aster. Any well drained soil in sun or light shade.
