Melittis melissophyllum Royal Velvet Distinction (1lt)

This is a select form of 'Bastard balm' and makes a wonderful addition to a partially shaded area in the garden with its distinctly veined, shiny, aromatic leaves. Whorls of white hooded labiate flowers with white edged, reddish purple lower lips surround the stems in late spring and early summer. Try mixing with foxgloves or ferns, lily of the valley or shady umbels. Height and spread to around 35cm.
