A very useful small leaved form of Physocarpus with an eventual height to around 1.2m. Orange to purple new leaves mature to a burgundy red. Forms a bushy upright shrub. In early summer clusters of white flowers form at the tips of the branches are followed by red fruits in late summer. Good in pots and/or borders. Hardy and easy to grow. Sun or part shade. Attracts bees.
