Dark maroon flowered dahlia. Long 'curled at the edges' petals protrude randomly from the flower centre giving a cactus look a like effect. Fantastic for cut flowers. Flowers profusely from midsummer right through to the first frosts. Best practice is to lift tubers for winter but if time is short, prune back and give a 15cm mulch to keep the worst of the cold out. If it is a well drained border they will generally be ok.
