Beni-maiko translates to 'red haired dancing girl'. Striking shocking pink to red new foliage emerges in spring and fades through dusky red to green by midsummer then bursts into bright red autumn colours. One of the most popular varieties and one of the best. Height and spread to around 3m x 3m. Best in Humus rich neutral to acid soil in light shade but will grow in full sun.
