Deep purple velvety leaves all summer that turn colour to give a fiery display reds and oranges in the autumn. Will grow to about 12ft x 12ft (4m x 4m). Prune out the dead wood in spring and shorten any straggly branches. Eyecatching smokey plumes of flowers are produced in summer. Any soil in sun or part shade.
