Deriving from a cross between Bergenia and Mukdenia, 'Nova Flame' posesses the best traits from both parents. Thriving in dappled or full shade it likes fertile humus rich soil and is drought tolerant once established. Serrated edged green leaves turn fabulous flame colours in the autumn and early winter. Starry red flowers are held above the foliage in spring by red stems. Height and spread to around 30cm x 40-50cm.
