Swamp Cypress. A conical conifer becoming columnar with age. Pale narrow green leaves turn rust-brown in autumn. Height 20m to 40m. Spread 6m to 10m. Sun or shade. Hardy. Superb planted next to water or in boggy ground where the roots protrude out of the water as right angles elbows. A lovely tree if you have the space for it. Responds well to hard pruning if it is getting too big.
