Scarlet Willow. A spreading tree with orange-scarlet branches in winter. Nova is a much brighter orange/scarlet form of Britzensis. Produces yellow or yellow-green catkins in spring, with the leaves. Max. Height 25m. Max. Spread 10m. At it's best when pollarded where the orange/red stems glow throughout the winter. Try a stand of pollards behind a mix of winter stemmed cornus and rubus for a glorious winter bed. Any soil in sun or part shade.
