'Flowering Quince' 'Japanese Quince'. A spreading thorny shrub with mid-green glossy leaves. Clusters of cup shaped pure rose pink flowers from February to April. Green edible fruits follow in summer ripening to yellow. Will flower earlier if wall trained but lovely in the open. Height o 6 feet. Any soil in sun orpartial shade. Hardy.
